Why Mumbai gathered more crowds in September month?
Well, the festive season has begun. Not just in Mumbai, you will get to see endless celebrations, and large number of travel deals, taking place in different parts of India.
But how did Mumbai take a toll, this September?
Well, it is all because Ganapati Bappa was right there with his dedicated followers. Ganesh Chaturthi is a public festival of Marathagan. It was started by Lokmanya Tilak, Nationalist Leader. Mumbaiyas, vest string faith and belief in Gannu Raja, hence, they celebrate this festival with great pomp and show.
A lot of Mumbaiyas settled in different parts of the world or India, try to get-together with their families during this festival just the way Bengalis, Oriyas, and Assamese do during Dussehera. It means huge to them, also to the Travel Agents in India.
Domestic tour packages for Mumbai, on this occasion, certainly soars.
The next tradition followed by Chaturthi is the Visarjan, which is again a huge crowd-puller. Crowd expects to see some celebrity during this festival. This one is lucrative as well.
Nonetheless, famous chowpati, pao-bhaji, modak laddoos and street shops come as secondary attraction.
The month of Ganapati has ended though, the spirit of acquiring knowledge and making a start still prevails not just in Mumbai but also in the other parts of India.
